AUDITION INFORMATION
STUDENTS CURRENTLY IN 3RD-12TH GRADES
AUDITIONS
Monday, May 12 - 6-9 pm

Wednesday, May 14 - 6-9 pm
WHO CAN AUDITION?
Students currently in 3rd through 12th grade can join us for Shrek the Musical. Graduating in May? As long as you will still be in Southern Illinois in September, we would love for you to join us!
WHAT SHOULD YOU PREPARE?
We highly encourage that you come with a 45-60 second comedic monologue if you want a speaking role.
Prepare 32 measures (about a minute) of a song in the style of Shrek the Musical. Your selection should highlight your vocal abilities and range, showcasing your strengths as a performer.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC SHOULD YOU BRING?
An accompanist will be provided if you want to bring sheet music. Please make sure it is in the correct key, and make sure you mark any special notes or instructions you may have for the accompanist on your music.
Don't want to bring sheet music? You can bring a pre-recorded accompaniment on a device with an auxiliary hook-up. Make sure there are no voices singing on the recording.

WHO SHOULD COME TO DANCE AUDITIONS?
Everyone interested in being cast in a main or supporting character role and anyone interested in being a featured dancer. There are MANY characters that dance in the show, so anyone interested in a speaking role is strongly encouraged to come to the dance auditions.
WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?
Jazz AND tap shoes if you have them. If you don't, please wear comfortable closed-toed shoes that you can dance in.
WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR?
Comfortable clothes that you can move easily in.
